Karate Tots (ages 3-5)
This class introduces young children to the exciting world of Karate through a playful, encouraging environment. Your child will learn basic blocks, simple movements, and beginner skills through games and fun activities. Watch your child build confidence, coordination and focus while teaching them the foundations for future martial arts training.

Sensei Raymond Rodriguez
Sensei Ray teaches USA Goju-ryu karate at the Connecticut Dojo Goju-ryu at the Meriden YMCA karate program. USA Goju-ryu is a unique blend of hard and soft techniques, emphasizes the balance between strength and flexibility, power and fluidity. Sensei Ray is a 9th degree Hanshi under the Harlem Dojo NYC Goju-ryu system Goju hall #270 Urban Goju-ryu fight school system. He teaches the traditional Urban Goju-ryu system and Harlem Dojo botukuki martial arts, and basic mixed martial arts which includes jujitsu and wrestling.
Sensei Anthony Rodriguez
From the age of four, Sensei Anthony Rodriguez has been dedicated to the practice of USA Goju-ryu karate, a style deeply rooted in history. This journey began in Harlem, New York, where Sensei Anthony’s father Sensei Raymond Rodriguez, 9th dan, took on the style of USA Goju-ryu style in the 1970s. Sensei Anthony is now a 3rd dan. Beyond the physical training, Sensei Anthony and Raymond Rodriguez value the mental and spiritual discipline that karate instills. They believe that the principles of Goju-ryu are respect, perseverance, and inner peace extend beyond the dojo and into everyday life. This spiritual approach to martial arts has shaped Sensei Anthony and Sensei Ray into well-rounded individuals, committed to personal growth and the betterment of their community.
