We're excited to bring you two great cooking classes, one for kids and one for adults. You will learn how to cook healthy recipes and eat what you make in class!

KIDS IN THE KITCHEN

This hands-on program will teach your child how to choose and prepare healthy and clean food options for meals and snacks.

  • Spring II: April 20 - May 18, 2026
  • Day/Time: Mondays 5:45 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.
  • Fee: Full Member $75

  • Location: Meriden YMCA Arts Center Kitchen, 14-16 West Main Street, Lower Level
  • Instructor: Sarah Abbott is a Family and Consumer Science Teacher at Lyman Hall in Wallingford and specializes in healthy living habits and cooking for kids.

COOKING FOR THE HEALTH OF IT

Adult cooking series designed to teach you how to prepare and cook a variety of healthy and nutritious dishes that are delicious, simple to make and won’t break the bank.

  • Ages: 18 and up
  • Day/Time: Tuesdays 5:45-7:15 p.m.
  • Dates: March 10, April 14, May 5
  • Fee: $30 per class. Register for 1 class or all 3. Come with a friend and enjoy an informative and delicious night out.
  • Location: Meriden YMCA Arts Center Kitchen, 14–16 West Main Street Lower level

1. If you already have a current membership you can register online, by phone at (203) 235.6386, or in-person at the Meriden YMCA at 110 West Main Street.

2. If you do not have a membership yet or need to update your membership, register in-person at the Meriden YMCA at 110 West Main Street.
