Meriden YMCA Gymnasts Achieve Personal Bests at First Home Meet

The Meriden YMCA Gymnastics program hosted seven YMCA teams and 211 gymnasts at their recent home meet at the Meriden YMCA. Four Meriden YMCA Gymnastics Team gymnasts achieved personal best scores! Amaya Adkins earned her personal best on Floor with a 9.2, and an All Around personal best of 35.25. Jezebel Perez soared to success with her personal best of 9.05 on Vault 9.05, a 8.6 on Bars, 8.9 on Beam  8.7 on Floor, and All Around personal best of 35.25. Daylianette Sanchez achieved her personal best on Bars 8.4, and earned scores of 7.8 on Beam 7.8,  8.5 on Floor, and 33.3 All Around. Team member Brooklynn Vasquez earned a personal best on Beam 9.4, 8.7 on Floor, and 34.6 All Around.

This was also an exciting meet for our gymnasts who competed for the first time. Morgan Marcuss competed for the first time as a Level 4 this season. Beonce Fraser, Angely Jaramillo, and Lauren Griffith competed for the first time as Level 3’s this season.  Maddy Plumberg made an awesome comeback as a Level 3, competing for the first time this season with an All Around of 34.6. Several of our PreTeam athletes competed as Level 2’s for the first time including Christie Harrison, Tiffany Tran, Olivia Rogowski, Jaylah DeJesus, and Linny Edwards.
